The school library is a vital part of Irymple Primary School, reflecting our commitment to fostering a love of reading among our students.
Our students benefit from a large and up-to-date collection of books that caters to a variety of reading interests. We continuously enhance our selection of beautiful new Picture Books, highlighting the work of talented Australian authors and illustrators. Students are excited to find our shelves filled with popular series and chapter books, especially graphic novels, as well as a wide range of 'early chapter books' that resonate with emerging independent readers.
Our students enjoy Library events such as Scholastic Book Fair, Scholastic Book Club, National Simultaneous Story Time and the CBCA Book activities and dress up day parade.
Our Library space is utilised for Chess Club and a quiet space for connection at lunchtimes/recesses.
The Library also serves as a versatile learning space; when it’s not being used for class visits, it hosts Italian lessons with Signora Kent.
